Erin Lofton (b. 1964) is a symbolist, visionary artist whose expressionistic paintings explore beauty and chaos, dreams and visions, Nature, Romantic Mysticism, and Mythology. Raised in Chicago and trained at Otis Art Institute/Parsons School of Design, and ASU, her art was profoundly shaped by years of solo travel through sacred landscapes like Mount Shasta, Maui, Sedona, and the Sierra Nevada foothills. Each small original comes from her personal archive, created with the same devotion as her large-scale paintings.

Artist Statement

I explore the Divine nature of beauty and chaos in life experience and set out to express these observations in my artwork. My paintings honor nature and the old ways with most of the images being a reflection of my own contemplation of the cycle of Life, Death and Rebirth.
